"What was I thinking? Having been out of circulation for a couple of weeks playing Mr. Nurse, Chef and Major Domo for my convalescing bride we thought, for a change, we'd phone in some take-out from Hong Kong House. With menu in hand we started with a Bo Bo ...
Title: Dim Sum2009-11-17T00:00:00
As far as I know this is the only Dim Sum place in the area (without going to Portland). It's pretty good, I've had better but I've also had much worse. Their standard Chinese fair is good also and they serve more 'American' type food ...?
Title: Good food, don't drive past them!2009-07-27T00:00:00
This place may surprise you. They have been here for a long time. I do believe people pass them up from the exterior, but they do have some of the best Chinese food in town. You can get to go...and so far I have had good food. ...?
Title: Great Food, No Atmosphere2008-10-29T00:00:00
If you want to eat good food, this is the place. Not a date place, its a blue collar feel and just good eats. Old buiding can be distractive, but the place is kind of a land mark, I remember going there in the 60's. Again the is really good. ...?

Dear Hong Kong House:Capital FC Timbers, Salem’s youth soccer club, will be hosting its benefit auction on Saturday, May 17, 2014. CFC is an award-winning nonprofit organization established in 1993 and is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. This year we changed from Cascade Fútbol Club to Capital FC Timbers and are proud to announce that we have joined the Timbers Alliance. CFC prvides soccer to approximately 2,000 area youth ages 3 to 18. Approximately 40 of these children receive financial assistance from the club in the form of fee waivers or scholarships. Last year’s auction allowed us to provide needed scholarships! The CFC Soccer Ball Auction will bring our soccer club one step closer to making this enriching activity available to all children. One-hundred percent of proceeds will go to funding scholarships and our youth focused soccer programs. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation in the form of gift certificates, products or services. Anything that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Businesses that Support CFC can count on the fierce loyalty of our community as well as patronage and word-of-mouth publicity. Your item will be clearly marked with your company logo and displayed prominently. Your donations are tax deductible in accordance with established IRS regulations. We drive up from Eugene for the dim sum. It's not the best, but it's made fresh. Expect a bit of a wait.
Title: You need WiFi in the restaurant. I know just what you need.2/25/2013 4:05:55 PM
Just in your restaurant a couple hours ago. Talked to Jack. Got no or almost no signal in the restaurant, though I did in the Lounge. Here's a suggestion: A WiFi range extender. Here's a good example, one I installed in a church building last week:http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007QXLQES/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1361836034

Title: Horrible service2/20/2016 11:50:53 AM
Have been going to this place for years. Love their food but the service is terrible. Came in for lunch, party of three, we all ordered didn't have napkins or clean silverware soup came still no napkins. Had to get silverware from another table. Two of our lunches came and the third came 20 minutes later. No one came to check on us finally had to flag the lady down and ask where our other food was. No apology or anything just meanness. When we paid the lady had a very bad attitude. Very disappointing when the food is good.
Title: Nice!2/19/2015 10:21:29 PM
I had to wait a while, but it was New Years so it was understandably busy. The wait was worth it; the food was absolutely delicious and given in bounty. I want to thank the driver; I ran out of tip money too. Will definitely do this place again.
